Oh this is gonna sound really out of date (by, like, four years) but this song just got back into my head recently. James Morrison - You Give Me Something
I remember hearing it on the radio when were on the Isle of Wight. My grandma kept dancing around in the kitchen when it came on. Then she and my mom sang it together when my grandma bought the EP. xD

.....FFFFF I wanna go back.. orz

Dunno, there's so much I can recommend for different people...

For anyone who hates Rap / Hip Hop because of the image it has from the mainstream bullshit being played, I'd recommend checking out the deeper, less fame-centric stuff such as Cannibal Ox (the bass samples in that beat are from Jaco Pastorious) and El-P.

For those looking into getting into Drum and Bass, I can't stress enough how good LTJ Bukem is if you're looking for some good deep Jungle style DnB. If you want some more modern sounding stuff, give High Contrast a listen. If you want something more aggressive, read on...

For those that are Drum and Bass fans and are looking for something more technical, deep, aggressive and generally 'beefed up', I'd recommend Breakcore. A lot of it isn't good casual listening, but is suited a lot better to deep listening. A few of my favourite artists are Venetian Snares, Xanopticon, Enduser and Venetian Snares again because he's fucking dope beyond compare.

If you're looking for something that can be funky (yes, I used that word), deep, chilled and stimulating at the same time, try Trip Hop. Notable artists include Spylab, Akira Yamaoka (who did the music for the Silent Hill games) and Unkle. And Unkle again because they're awesome.

Concerning Rock / Metal, my taste is extremely picky, and I tend to go for stuff that's either extremely psychadelic or extremely slow and heavy (or preferably a combo of the two), but a few of my favourite artists are ikd-sj, Electric Wizard, Gojira and Agalloch.

For all you peoples that enjoy retro-gaming with a twist of rock, Anamanaguchi has some pretty awesome songs in the Scott Pilgrim video game. My favorite so far is Another Winter from the first level. Bollywood is pretty catchy as well. I have yet to listen to the whole OST, but so far I really like it!

If you like heavy guitars and bass and Hatsune Miku, you may like this older "VOCAROCK" song. Sky Burial

Call me a hypocrite if you must, but after watching them stream their concert at the Wembley Area, I'm starting to like some of these songs off their Immersion album. The Vulture
